For those seeking a career in office work, this course offers necessary skills to be a qualified applicant. Paper filing, computer data entry, email and letter writing, phone etiquette and basic office skill training is provided. Enrollment based on individual situations, please schedule a meeting.

Childcare Training

Childcare services are essential for many families in the community. This program teaches child development, education and health and safety protocols for those beginning a career in childcare. The program offers job placement and certification through local government to build a self-sustained business to provide working families with safe, affordable, and health-conscious care for their children. By Appointment –  Schedule a Meeting Today to begin your Childcare Career.

Cooking Classes Theory

Theory and hands-on practice for healthy, simple meal preparation Learn to plan and prepare economical, well-balanced meals for one or two persons. Consumer education and nutrition information included. Saturdays & Sundays 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM with Chef Nisha

Sewing Classes

Learn the basics of working a sewing machine and how to cut patterns, pin and seam clothing and accessories. Design skills and pattern making are offered to more advanced participants. Products created can be donated to sell in the SBAOA shop. Fashion shows and events are held regularly to showcase the students garment creations.

Our Goals & Objectives

The SBAOA offers several programs to teach life skills and prepare students for Self- Employment and Micro- Enterprises. The goal is to empower and create self-sustainable income for all of our participants.
