We are excited to announce that the Somali Bantu Association of America (SBAOA) is now offering a youth program for new arrivals and other youth citizens. Our program is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for youth to learn, grow, and develop new skills.
Our youth program includes a range of activities, including sports, arts and crafts, and educational workshops. We also offer mentorship and leadership development opportunities to help youth build confidence and achieve their goals.
Our experienced staff and volunteers are dedicated to providing a positive and engaging experience for all participants. We prioritize safety and ensure that all activities are age-appropriate and inclusive.

I’m deeply appreciative of the CDSS Youth Mentoring Program’s influence on my life. It has offered me a chance to engage with a program that aligns with my aspirations, fostering my growth and development. The mentors have been pivotal, providing guidance, support, and practical help with academic and daily tasks. Their commitment to City Heights’ youth is remarkable. The program is a vital community resource, thanks to the dedication of CDSS and SBAOA, who show genuine care for the youth’s success. I extend my profound thanks to both organizations for their support and empowerment of young individuals like me. I’m optimistic about the program’s continued positive impact on many more youths. Thank you for your unwavering commitment.
